The Sales Of 2G Mobile Phone Has Unexpectedly Increased By 11% Per Month
When 3G becomes the inevitable topic for the majority of mobile phone manufacturers, the sales of 2G mobile phone in mainland China has gained an unexpected increase lately. Yesterday, the newest data published by market research agency Cynos showed, in September the total domestic sales of 2G mobile phone was 14.46 million which increased by 11.3% compared with the same period of last year.
The rebound of 2G mobile phone’s sales has to relate to the growth of DCMA market. According to statistic, the total sales volume of CDMA mobile phone achieved 2.77 million sets, with 20% market share of the entire mobile phone market. Analysts pointed out, after re-entering mobile market China Telecom has tried hard to invest many efforts, its diverse marketing methods was the basic of the rebound of DCMA mobile phone.
From the point of manufacturers, with the help of China Telecom, Vision sold 608 thousands CDMA mobile phone in September which became the second best with 21.9% market share of CDMA market. Therefore, the total sales volume of Vision mobile phone reached 616 thousands sets in this month with 4.3% market share of entire mobile phone market. It is not only exceeding conventional foreign brands Motorola and Sony Ericsson, but also rising to top four of the industry.
