More Than 50 Android Mobile Phones Would Be Launched In 2010

According to foreign media report, market research company CCS Insight predicted that 2010 would be the year of Android mobile phone and more than 50 new Android mobile phones would be launched.

Android has only published 10 mobile phones in 2009, but analyst Ben Wood of CCS Insight said, “Plenty of companies have planned to launch Android equipments, so it isn’t difficult to achieve 50.”

The new plan of Mobile phone manufacturer also showed Android mobile phone would become popular. Analyst of Buyvertureplica.com claimed on last Thursday, their company was planning to launch five to six Android mobile phones in the first half of 2010.

Sony Ericsson also stated that they would launch their first Android smart phone—Xperia X10 at the first quarter this year. A spokeswoman of Sony Ericsson said Xperia X10 wasn’t the only Android mobile pone that their company planned to launch in 2010, but she declined to reveal further details.

In addition, the latest report showed that HTC planned to launch five mobile phones in the first half this year. CCS Insight analyst predicted that Motorola would launch at least ten Android mobile phones, for Motorola was one of Android’s most powerful supporters. CCS Insight thought that it was reasonable if Google was to acquire Motorola’s Mobile Devices Department for developing their hardware.
