WIPI Is No Longer Enforced, iPhone Is Permitted To Sell In South Korea
The spokesman of South Korea Communication Committee claimed that this organization had permitted iPhone to sell in South Korea market, and the population entering this meeting was five.
South Korea had made a technology rule before it permitted iPhone to enter South Korea market that the mobiles sold in South Korea should use the local Location-Based Services. This news was reported by Dow Jones Newswires.
The reason why iPhone enter South Korea so late is that the supervision organization request the mobiles sold in its market should use WIPI standard (Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability), which is a single wireless internet standard forced to use in South Korea.
